Good Morning Millstone Families,
I hope this email finds you and your families healthy and well. As you know, we will continue with remote learning for all students next week November 30th – December 4th. During that time, we will consult with the Monmouth County Health Department and closely monitor all relevant local metrics to determine our plans for Monday, December 7th and beyond.
Currently, the Central East Region, which Monmouth County is part of, is in the “High Risk” category on the COVID-19 Activity Level Index Weekly Report. These reports can be accessed here: CALI Reports . According to the New Jersey Department of Health, districts in this category should examine their local circumstances closely and consider implementing remote learning depending on the district’s metrics and ability to adhere to prevention and control measures. Please note, if our region becomes categorized as a “Very High Risk” area, we will have no choice but to continue with remote learning. Like many of you, we are all hopeful for a return to in-person instruction as soon as possible. However, we must prepare ourselves for all possible scenarios including a prolonged continuation of remote learning. To keep you informed and help with planning, frequent communications will continue to be shared as information becomes available.
I wish you all a happy, healthy, and restful Thanksgiving season. While we have dealt with much adversity over the past several months, please remember we also have much to be thankful for. Let us remain grateful for our families, our health, and our wonderful community.
