Millstone Township Superintendent Scott Feder announced today that they have hired Middle School Principal Karen Barry as the new Director of Curriculum and Instruction.

I am excited to share some great news for our district. After a rigorous search for our New Director of Curriculum and Instruction, I am happy to report that our own Karen Barry (current Principal of the Middle School) was the clear BEST CANDIDATE!!! Starting July 1st, Karen will assume this new role. It was extremely important to her to finish this year as the Principal and see her 8th graders through their final year.
Karen comes with so much experience and most importantly she knows us, knows our strategic vision and has the skill set to lead us down a path of high level curriculum development. For those of you that know her from your time in the Middle School or your time in the K-5, you know of not only her commitment to education and kids, but also her specific commitment to our Millstone Community.
I know, many of you with kids in the Middle School now, or about to be, are probably concerned about this change, but the great news is that Karen is still right here and the person who replaces her will have immediate access to her knowledge and strengths.
With this said, we are of course now in the process of hiring a new Middle School Principal. Replacing Mrs. Barry is not an easy task, but we are aiming high and will bring in another stellar principal!
